about her choosing the headline, i think he knows she'll stop on the third headline he reads, so he dileberatly reads the third headline on page 14, i think anyway?

Derren held her right arm at 2:25

his explanation at the end abt how he uses subliminal msgs is part of his act but not the real explanation. Danny nvr chose the daily mail, she chose the lady who has the daily mail, she didn't choose pg 14, she chose the headline without knowing it was on pg 14. after his 'explanation' he said to the audience that they are intelligent ppl and the audience went home believing they knew how the newspaper trick work but derren is having the last laugh. In that sense, i think he is brilliant.

Derren knew she would pick 7 or 8 (most common) and he knew #8 was the one he wanted, since that's halfway thru 16, and since the left hand had the other 16, that's 32 pieces (5 rips -- it's tough to do a 6th evenly-distributed rip of paper, even with thin newsprint).

lol I just realized the "tap" when he read from Page 14 was NOT the first time he tapped the papers. He did it a few times during the INSTRUCTIONS before she knew that she would be telling him to stop... so he anchored the ACTION of "stop me" with the auditory cue of hearing the paper being tapped. Simple. NLP, even if Derren Brown denies it ;)

not on Amazon. sadly. But it's listed on IMDB so it's just a matter of time, hopefully... (It's only August 2008, 3 months after release)

He chose where the Daily Mail went and Danny was apparently not chosen at random. Was Danny hypnotized beforehand to give all the right answers?
