The Goldwyn years

Back

This is a four minute clip about the best images from the Samuel Goldwyn-William Wyler association in their seven picture together. There was another film (Come and get it) co-directed by Howard Hawks and Wyler, but W.W. himself never consdered the film as yours. The music is a Nocturne composed by Prince Kalender, who imagined the melody before the Frederic Chopin´ s grave. It is a beautiful piece of music played by Juan Carlos Fauvety Sr. This clip was not commercially released in the United States. However the director himself sent copies to the people of the American Film Institute in Washington DC. and to The Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles, California (one copy is with the Stanley Kubrick´ family in England). The clip did not win a prize because never participated in any Festival. But it reflects the Wyler ´s spirit in a wonderful canvas.
