Duice Duice in the House

Back

"Dazzey Duks" was the title of rap duo Duice's only charting single. But that's quite an accomplishment since the single sold two million copies. The sole hit single from Los Angeles native L.A. Sno and Creo-D., who hailed from Barbados, was inspired by the short shorts worn by the character Daisy Duke on the CBS-TV hit series The Dukes of Hazzard. Released on TMR/Bellmark (the latter imprint was owned by former Stax executive Al Bell), "Dazzey Duks" went double platinum, hitting number 19 R&B, number 12 pop in late 1992. Quite a feat for a new act on an independent label.
